When you hear the words “Haiji towa Ultimate”, what comes to your mind? It may sound strange at first, but there’s a good reason behind it. The series is about a young man named Haiji Hinata who has lived a life of routine. When he is suddenly thrown into a life of crime, he must choose between what he needs to do to survive and who he can trust.
Originally, Haiji was the next in line to run Towa City, but he was thrown into a life of despair when the Big Bang Monokuma came crashing down. It was unclear whether he would survive, and whether he would retain his position as leader of the Resistance. In the anime, Haiji was originally set to take on the role of a secondary protagonist, similar to Toko, and be able to call forth Genocide Jack and enter “offense mode” like Toko.
The characters in the series are very interesting and full of interesting characters. Yojimbo, for example, is a self-proclaimed lolicon, who jokes about Nagisa’s trauma when he is supposed to die. This implies that he was an abusive older brother. He also has a deep hatred for children and is not interested in their safety. Despite his humor, Yojimbo is a very serious character and has a dark side.
While his powers are impressive, Haiji’s most impressive achievement is his personal piloting of the Big Bang Monokuma. He personally piloted the plane during the climax of the conflict. The plane was used by the Resistance as a spearhead against the Warriors of Hope. He eventually left his plane at Towa Tower in search of his sister. As he was searching for her, he came across Toko and Komaru, and told them to use the dead father’s death to pass a biometric lock on the ship.
The name Haiji Towa means “merciful ashes.” This fits well with the color scheme of the Resistance. The name also may reflect Haiji’s motivation for establishing The Resistance. Towa, on the other hand, means “broad harmony”.
